March 17, 2020

Dear GSLA Parents and Guardians,

Please be advised that due to New Jersey’s new state curfew, our new hours of operation will be from 6:30am- 5:30pm effective Wednesday March 18th, 2020. We kindly ask you pick up your child by 5:30pm to prevent any late fees. This curfew will stay in effect until the state curfew is removed. If there are any additional precautionary measures needed to be taken, we will immediately inform you. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

Dear GSLA Parents and Guardians,

Thank you for your continuous support and patience throughout this worldwide health crisis. We wanted to provide you another update in reference to the procedures and protocol GSLA will follow to ensure the best precautionary measures while still being able to remain teaching and caring for your children.

As per our most recent conversation with the health department and state regulators, we have been advised that we may remain open unless someone with a direct case exists within the center. The health department and state regulators have recommended we take precautionary measures, therefore, we kindly ask all our families for your cooperation by taking the following safety precautions:

  1. Keep your child home if he/she exceeds a fever over 99.0 F.
  2. Minimizing the parent drop off and pick up times inside the school. To best assist our families, we welcome you to call us 5 minutes before your arrival so that we can meet you at the door for pick up and drop off. We will provide a check-in/check-out sheet to sign.
  3. Child’s temperature will be taken by their teacher once they arrive at the school.
  4. Have all forms of communication accessible in case we need to reach you. We understand that it may be difficult during work hours, so we ask that you update us with any new emergency contacts we may reach out to in case of an emergency or potential signs of illness.
  5. If your child is absent from school for two or more days, we request that you bring a doctor’s note with a return date to attend school.

On our end, we will continue to do our best to provide a sanitized and clean environment as we always strive to fulfill. In addition to our daily cleaning, we will be disinfecting our school during the weekends and if needed on weekdays during after school hours. If GSLA plans any early dismissals to further disinfect and sanitize as necessary to remain open or if by state regulations we are required to close, we will immediately inform you.

We hope these precautionary measures will ensure the safety of your children and we appreciate your cooperation in advance. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us directly.
